Shown here, is the exterior and interior of the LXi series. The interior features the new suite-expanding slide-out walls in the living room/galley and bedroom. The living room/galley slide-out provides an additional 150 cubic feet over the standard model, and the bedroom slide-out provides an additional 51 cubic feet of living space.

The Motorcoach Division of the Blue Bird Corporation has rolled out its 1998 Wanderlodge LXi series, which includes updated versions of both the 41' and 43' Wanderlodge models. This year's vehicles include redesigned exterior styling and new suite-expanding slide-out walls in the living room/galley and/or bedroom.

The new sleeker exterior styling of the LXi includes an optional stainless steel accent package, large panoramic windshield, a more aerodynamic front and rear design, smooth sides, and new luggage doors.

As with past Wanderlodges, Blue Bird designers have stressed luxury in the interior design and amenities. The company's staff of interior designers will help to customize vehicles to the exact specifications of prospective owners. Leather pilot and co-pilot seats, custom inlaid carpeting, and designer window treatments enhance the LXi's aesthetic environment. The kitchen area includes a Norcold four-door refrigerator/ freezer, ice maker, waterfall-edged laminate counter tops and custom-crafted cabinetry. The bathroom features fully-tiled floors and premium fixtures. Two remote-control color televisions with stereo VCRs and a 40-channel CB and radar detector are also standard.

Both the 41' and 43' LXi models are powered by Detroit Diesel Series 60 500-hp engines matched with an Allison six-speed HD4060 World transmission.
