New Products for OEMs

A new polymer Fluid Level Indicator system designed to provide superior performance and value over conventional metal dipsticks has been introduced to the OEM market by Furon. Designed for greater manufacturability, more reliable performance and ease of use, the new patent-pending unit is available to engine, transmission, chassis and vehicle manufacturers of on-highway trucks, buses and RVs. Three different versions are available: one for fluid check only, and two alternate designs which enable OEMs to incorporate both fluid check and fill operations into one dual-function assembly.

Furon's Fluid Level Indicator uses a lightweight, corrosion-resistant plastic molded cap and spout overmolded onto a polymer tube-creating a unitized assembly that eliminates the multiple components found in typical metal dipstick systems. Benefits to the OEM include single sourcing of parts, fewer part numbers and option numbers to inventory, production time savings and enhanced reliability.

Unlike conventional metal tubing, Furon's flexible tubes and cables allow for easier routing of fluids, even to remote locations on the vehicle. The results: enhanced design flexibility and improved fluid access - important concerns with today's smaller, more compact engine and transmission compartments.

The Presto High Lift Scissor Truck is a combination pallet truck and scissor lift table that comes in hand-pump operated or 12 volt gel cell battery powered models for loading, unloading, positioning and moving loads.
