A Tough Trail to Follow

By Bob Zagami,
Associate Editor

Many roads in Indiana will bring you into Elkhart and Goshen, where you will find many RV manufacturers.

One road leads to Warsaw, Indiana -- and you'll only find one RV manufacturer located there R-Vision, manufacturer of the Trail-Lite brand. It's a tough place to find, and it's a tough act to follow.

You don't really interview Denny Bailey, vice president sales and marketing -- you have to drag some of the answers out of this modest man who is uncomfortable talking about his many success stories in the RV industry.

He doesn't look to the past, only the trail he can forge in the future.

But there is an air of excitement when his vision hits the manufacturing floor, and he's done it at several stops along the way before he and Bill DeVos, vice president of operations, landed at R-Vision in 1995.

The success and innovations that have been achieved at Trail-Lite were not a surprise to industry professionals and dealers. Many had worked with Bailey in his previous positions at other RV companies before heading to Warsaw.

Warsaw is unique -- and it's far enough away from the highly competitive and challenging employment juggling that goes on in the Elkhart/Goshen markets.
