Elixir Industries Celebrating 50th Anniversary

Roland Sahm, Elixir's owner and CEO, along with Dave Whitt, Elixir's president and COO, have asked RV News to extend their thanks to Elixir's many customers for their support over the past fifty years. The company has twenty operating divisions manufacturing products for a broad range of industries. Elixir's corporate staff consists of Steve Solomon, vice president finance and CFO; Joe Hull, director of purchasing; Tim S. Suttles, director of national sales and marketing; Bill Roberts, national marketing manager. New appointments are: John Willis, division manager of Crossville, TN; Tommy Everett, division manager at Reidsville, NC; and Joe Randell, division manager at Waco, TX.

Mark Hood has Hood been named engineering manager at Marshall Gas Controls. In this newly created position, Hood's primary responsibility will be leading the manufacturing and product engineering group in supporting and achieving product targets. A 21 year veteran of the LP-Gas industry, Hood is a registered engineer with a BSME degree from the University of Texas and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.

Doug Littlepage has been named Littlepage vice president of sales and marketing for decor products at LaSalle Bristol Corp. In this newly created position, Littlepage will be responsible for all sales and marketing activities for such products as Alcoa siding, Congoleum flooring, Coronet carpeting and other lines.

Kent Copeland has been named general line sales Copeland manager for LaSalle Bristol's Southeast region. He will assume sales responsibility for all general line products including decor products, building products, lighting products and air systems in North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Florida.

Larry Sauter has Sauter been named vice president/general manager of LaSalle Bristol's Southwest region where he will take on sales and distribution responsibility for the nine state region.

Gilbert Hayes Hayes has been promoted to director of operations at Heart Interface Corp. He will be responsible for the day to day operations of the companys manufacturing facilities and plant operations in Kent, Washington.

Pierre Briglio has been appointed vice president of sales - west, for the RV Products Division of Airxcel, and Jim Woodruff has been appointed vice president - east. Briglio will be responsible for facilitating all sales and marketing efforts for the division throughout the western U.S. and Canada. Woodruff is responsible for facilitating all sales and marketing efforts for the division throughout the eastern U.S.

Nathan T. Tullier has been Tullier appointed sales manager at A. Ben Long, Inc. Tullier will be headquartered in Atlanta, and will be responsible for sales to RV and MH distributors in the South-east and portions of the Midwest. A graduate of Louisiana State Univer-sity, Tullier's career experience includes purchasing and management positions in the RV and industrial engine industries.

David Nava has joined RH Power & Associates as Nava media buyer. Nava brings extensive national advertising experience to his new position with the New Mexico firm that specializes in RV industry advertising and marketing programs. In the past he has represented United States Tobacco, Hill & Knowlton and ABC Capital Cities.

Steve Kinberger Kinberger has been promoted to the position of electronic producer and copywriter at RH Power & Asso-ciates. He will take an active lead in producing the television and radio commercials for all existing and new clients, as well as writing newspaper and magazine advertisements. Kinberger served the agency as a student intern and previously held the position of electronic production assistant. A recent graduate of the University of New Mexico, Kinberger has jointed the firm full time.

James L. Wanaselja has been appointed director Allison of North American sales for Allison Transmission. In his new position Wanaselja will be responsible for sales activities in the United States, Canada and Mex-ico, the Allison Transmission field sales organization, national accounts and OEM accounts. Wanaselja, 46, joined Allison Transmission in 1995.

Paul Konz was promoted to national service and installation manager at Camping World. Konz, who began his career with the firm in 1986 served as operations manager and than general manager of Camping World's El Cajon, CA store. In 1993 he was promoted to district manager. Konz will be responsible for the direct activities of Camping World's service and installation departments nationwide.

Jon D. Volkert has been appointed president of John Deere Credit. In this position, Volkert will direct the firm's worldwide operations. John Deere Credit, headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa, has extensive operations in the U.S. and Canada. In addition, it has operating units in Mexico, Australia, the United King-dom and Germany. Volkert joined John Deere Credit in 1994 as senior vice president of consumer lending and has 29 years experience in the finance industry. Prior to joining Deere, Volkert was vice president of Home Equity Lending at Sears Consumer Finance and senior vice president, director of national operations at Security Pacific Financial Services.
