Mike Molino,
RVDA President |
No pun intended, but RVDA
is on a roll, and it’s a good roll ..
all uphill. Momentum was in
their favor as they left Nashville
at the conclusion of their recent
convention and exposition.
At a time when many associations
are cutting back on services;
they are adding services.
At a time when many associations
are losing money; they are
making money.
At a time when many associations
see their conventions losing
attendees and exhibitors;
they are gaining.
At a time when many associations
are searching for an identity
and a mission; they proudly
display courage and leadership
for their members.
They are on a roll, and the
members know it, and appreciate
it. This is an association
that delivers value and provides
an exciting opportunity for their
member dealers, rental agencies,
and associate members.
Annual meetings can be, and
often are, quite boring … which
is why many people don’t go. At
the RVDA Annual Meeting in
Nashville, it was standing room
only as dealers packed the meeting
to hear the state-of-the-association
from Mike Molino, president,
and the volunteer RVDA
officers.
They were not disappointed.
Craig Jensen, outgoing
Chairman of the Board, welcomed
attendees to the meeting
and provided a quick look at the
agenda for the meeting.
The first order of the day was
recognition of dealer members
and associate members who
were celebrating 25 years with
RVDA. Dealer members recognized
were Beaudry RV (Tucson,
AZ), Kramer’s Kampers (Beach
Park/Waukegan, IL), Lazy Days
RV SuperCenter (Seffner, FL),
Rich & Sons Camper Sales
(Grand Island, NE), and
Suburban Recreational Vehicles
(Albuquerque, NM).
Associate members recognized
were Carriage, Inc.
(Millersburg, IN), Central Trailer
Supply, Inc. (Albuquerque, NM),
Kelley Blue Book (Irvine, CA)
Onan Corporation/Cummins
Inc. (Minneapolis, MN), and
Wheeler’s Guides (Elk Grove, IL).
In attendance to accept their
awards were Stewart Schaeffer
of Lazy Days, Dave Lawson of
Carriage, and Greg Moos of
Onan/Cummins.
Jensen then presented the
"Chairman’s Service" award.
This award honors RVDA members
and business partners who
have made significant contributions
to the association over an
extended period of time. Two
dealers and three associate members received the award in 2002.
