Beth Nimmo, the mother of Rachel Joy Scott who was murdered in the Columbine High School shootings, will speak on courage and faith at this year's RVI Leadership Prayer Breakfast on Wednesday, November 29, 2000, 7:00 - 8:30 a.m. in the Mary Room, Executive Inn West in Louisville, Kentucky,

The Annual RVI Leadership Prayer Breakfast is sponsored by interested companies and individuals in the RV industry.

Beth Nimmo describes her family as "average" until April 20, 1999, when every aspect of their lives changed. In spite of the pain of losing Rachel, Beth wants to serve as Rachel's voice to lift up a standard for other youth and families to follow.

Beth remembers Rachel as a strong Christian who was not afraid to witness. Rachel did not compromise her convictions in the face of peer pressure and other influences.

Beth has another child, Craig, who had to play dead in the library to divert the attention of the gunmen. At one point, Craig prayed for courage. His prayer was answered and Craig was able to lead himself and others to safety.

Beth is aware that only through the grace of God, can she share the testimony of her daughter Rachel and have a word of encouragement for families amid such pain and sorrow.
