Draw-Tite Introduces Innovative Hitch-Mounted 4-Bike Carrier

Draw-Tite's new hitch-mounted 4-bike carrier features a fully padded and lockable cradle and can hold up to 150 pounds. The carrier, constructed of rugged steel tubing, has an electrostatic powder coat finish and fits all 2" x 2" receiver hitches. It can accommodate all sizes and styles of bicycles, including women's models.

The unit also features "Lights On for Safety" tail-lights, with a simple 4-flat plug-in wire connection, and license plate repositioner. The carrier tilts for loading bikes and for access to the vehicle's trunk, tailgate or door. A raised design offers maximum ground clearance, and the unit folds for easy storage.

Flowmaster Expands Motorhome Exhaust System Line

Flowmaster has expanded their motorhome exhaust system line with the introduction of an ap-plication for 1975 - 1989 P-30 class A (454CI) chassis. This system will fit Doug Thorley headers, cast iron and stainless steel manifolds. It fits all wheelbases.

Designed with the RV service center in mind, this system requires no welding, pipe bending or torch cutting.

Flowmaster's "Big Block" series mufflers, true dual 2-1/2" mandrel bent tubing with a slip-fit balance pipe are all made of 16 ga. aluminized steel. The system comes with 2 aluminum heat shields and all the necessary hardware for easy installation.

Designed to lower back-pressure and increase the engine's combustion efficiency, the system allows the engine to perform to its full potential by lowering the engine compartment temperature, which can extend the life of the manifolds and other engine components. The system also brings increased horsepower and torque to enhance acceleration to better tackle steep grades. Improved fuel economy is an added benefit.

Solar Battery Charge Controller

Heliotrope has introduced a new solar battery Charge Controller designed specifically for RV applications. Designated RV-30, this new Charge Controller has two very new features.

The RV-30 automatically allocates the solar electricity to both the engine and the house batteries depending upon the need. Also new with the RV-30 is the "Automatic Battery Equalize" feature. Battery equalize is an exclusive feature which gives a short overcharge to a battery thus extending its life according the manufacturer.

The RV-30 is able to control the charging to any type battery, whether liquid or sealed.

The LCD display shows the charging amps and the engine and the house battery voltages.

The RV-30 is rated at 30 amps and has temperature compensated charging. The charging strategy is Pulse Width Modulated three stage. This technique uses less water than any other strategy, while keeping the batteries at their fullest possible state of charge.

The RV-30 is available as a manufacturer's installed option on selected RVs with solar packages, as well as an aftermarket item.
