Draws Thousands to Louisville

RVIA’s Sold-Out 45th National RV Trade Show

The RVIA sold-out 45th Annual National RV Trade Show will bring 2008’s new product lines and industry officials to the recently expanded Kentucky Exposition Center (KEC) in Louisville, Nov. 27-29, 2007.

More than 14,000 RV dealers, warehouse distributors, accessory store owners, campground operators and exhibitors are expected to attend this year’s event, which will showcase innovative products and services across more than 920,000 square feet of exhibit space.

“This is our industry’s premiere event, and we’re excited that the Kentucky Exposition Center (KEC) will be back to full capacity for the show,” said RVIA President Richard Coon. “Our industry has many reasons to be optimistic about the future, and we are looking forward to this year’s show leading us into a very successful year.”

The sprawling KEC complex has undergone a $52 million renovation that included the construction of the North Wing (formerly the East Wing), which will house supplier exhibits at the RVIA show.

RVIA’s “Outlook 2008: Market Expansion Showcase” will kick off the National RV Trade Show on Tuesday, Nov. 27, in the KEC’s South Wing Mezzanine Level Ballroom. Doors open with a sit-down breakfast at 6:30 a.m.and the program beginning at 6:45 a.m.

Hosted by RVIA’s Board of Directors Chairman Carl Pfalzgraf, the energetic program will feature RVIA President Richard Coon’s insights on the industry and what the future holds; an in-depth update on the award-winning ‘What Will You Discover? Go RVing” national advertising campaign from Go RVing Coalition Co-Chairmen Don Walter and Tom Stinnett and RVIA Vice President of Public Relations and Advertising Gary LaBella; and an entertaining review of recent national media by RVIA PR Committee Chairman B.J. Thompson and LaBella, concluding with popular “RVTV” video showcasing the best in RV news and entertainment exposure during 2006.

Attendees can take advantage of several sales and product seminars offered throughout the three-day show. Acclaimed sales trainer Randy Sobel will lead seminars on improving sales operations and increasing profits in the KEC’s 2nd Floor Ballroom. The first session on November 28 is entitled “Strategies to Increase Your Profits by $1,000 Per Sale” and will be followed by “How to Become UP-FREE” (The Best Customers Ask for You) on November 29. Both seminars begin at 8 a.m.

Hour-long proprietary seminars conducted by exhibiting companies will be offered at no cost during the show. Those hosting sessions are R.L. Polk & Co.; Channel Blade Technologies; Bilstein Shock Absorbers; SMEV/Aery Corp.; IDS/Integrated Dealer Systems; Medallion Bank; Systems 2000 Inc.; Key Bank; and Industrial Finishes and Systems/BASF.

The show offers attendees one-on-one opportunities to learn more about industry resources available to them. RV dealers can stop by the Go RVing booth for information about tying into the Go RVing advertising campaign on a local level. For information about RV technician learning opportunities and certification, attendees can stop by the RVIA Education booth.
