Automated Engineering
has been waiting OEMs.
What does a company do when they have excellent products
that meet the needs of RV manufacturers, but they can’t seem
to get them to buy into their sales presentation?
Well if you are Automated Engineering Corporation, you simply
acknowledge that you may be slightly ahead of your time and look
for alternative markets until the RV industry is ready to accept
technology as a major ingredient of their future success.
Timing is everything for the RV industry. The technology they
need is available today. AEC has pioneered ISO certified products
and systems that will support the RVs rolling off the assembly line
today, and in the future.
Salesmanship
No Decision, No Sale!
There was an interesting virtual forum presented online at
www.informedinvestors.com on February 11th. It was
interesting from the standpoint that it provided a unique
perspective of our industry. The investment community was represented
by two excellent keynote speakers who understood our
business, and the industry was represented by two companies at
opposite ends of the RV manufacturing spectrum. All presentations
are archived on the above mentioned site and highly recommended
for your listening pleasure. The combined time to listen
to all four presentations is less than one hour.
You might ask, what does this have to do with salesmanship?
Actually, it has a lot to say about sales and the way that we sell
RV products.

Heritage
Robert Crist
In 1931, a Chicago auto
dealer began to sell a
few models of the newfangled
trailers on the side of
his South Side Nash dealership.
By 1933, he was a dealer-
distributor for several manufacturers
and the trailers had
mostly pushed the cars aside
and Robert Crist to quickly
becoming the largest trailer
dealer of the 1930s.

Tow Bars Wear Out?
Have you ever heard the
adage that the middle
child in a family feels
left out? Overworked? Under
appreciated? Even just plain
ignored? You know, big brother
gets everything he wants
and little sister gets by with
everything. I’m sure some of
you can relate. The RV, tow
bar and towed vehicle are like
siblings, and the tow bar; well
it’s the middle child in most
families. Not just because it’s
between the two vehicles but
also because it too often is left
out, ignored and overlooked
when it comes to regular maintenance
and life span.
