RVDA Convention/Expo Has Something for Everyone at the Dealership

One of the most important events of the year for RVDA members is the annual RV Dealers International Convention/ Expo. In 1999, RVDA members in the U.S. and Canada are heading back to Las Vegas and the Riviera Hotel & Casino, Sept. 27-30, for the event.

RVDA Convention/ Expo Committee Chairman Jeff Pastore of Hartville RV in Hartville, OH, said, "No other industry gathering offers dealers and their top managers such a unique opportunity to learn about all aspects of running an RV dealership -- all in one place."

In recent years, dealer principals have sent more of their managers and other key people to the convention. Workshops and roundtables include general management, sales, service & aftermarket, F&I, and RV rentals.

Tom Bordigioni of Mountain Family RV in Reno, NV, said, "The enthusiasm my people had about what they learned was well worth the small investment of registration. I would highly recommend that more dealers attend with their managers, that way the full effect of the educational programs can be used at the dealership,"

According to Director of Program Development & Marketing, Scott Myers, whether they are veterans of past Convention/Expos or attending the event for the first time, dealers say the workshops, roundtables, and general sessions provide practical ideas to increase their bottom line. Chris Mollison of Pin Oak RV Sales in Berlin Heights, OH, said, "As a first-timer, I learned many innovative methods to improve our business." Caroll Young of Bluenose RV Centre in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, said, "The convention has given me an adrenaline rush that will last for months, if not years,"

Dealers will receive a brochure about the 1999 convention/expo in June and can check RVDA's web site at www.rvda.org for more information about the convention.
