New Night Visible Reflective Film

Avery Dennison Reflective Products Division North America introduces Avery Dennison Night Visible (NV-EZ) Series film, a reflective vinyl film featuring Avery Dennison’s patented Easy Apply™ Technology. NV-EZ film is a digital and screen printable product designed to make images reflect when exposed to direct light. The product is ideal for applications for which night visibility and safety are key, including recreational vehicles, emergency vehicles, boating and marine vehicles, and promotional displays.

Added visibility – Research indicates vehicles marked with reflective films make 4 million more annual impressions than vehicles marked with non-reflective films because their messages can also be seen at night.

Increased safety – Vehicles marked with reflective films can be seen from farther away, allowing drivers to see them and respond sooner.

Time and cost savings – Patented Easy Apply Technology minimizes installation and removal time, resulting in reduced downtime for vehicles.

Avery Dennison’s patented Easy Apply Technology allows for fast and trouble- free installation for even the most inexperienced graphics installers, eliminating bubbles and wrinkles during the process. NV-EZ also features a removable adhesive that makes demarkation easy when heat is used. The product is covered under Avery Dennison’s Integrated Component System (ICS) Warranty for up to seven years.

Philips’ New VisionPlus Headlamp Bulb Improves Nighttime Vision

Royal Philips Electronics (NYSE:PHG), announces that its North American automotive lighting division has introduced the new VisionPlus Series Halogen Headlamp Bulbs. Philips VisionPlus dramatically enhances driver vision and safety by creating a brighter and longer beam pattern that puts more usable light on the road. Depending on the type of vehicle,

VisionPlus can create a beam of light that's up to 50 feet longer than that of a standard Halogen bulb. This not only allows the driver to see further down the road but also helps identify potential hazards sooner so they can be avoided. VisionPlus creates a uniform pattern of light in front of the vehicle and along the roadside, placing it precisely where the driver needs it. The longer and brighter beam dramatically increases road illumination and visibility. Since an individual's vision starts to degrade after age 45, VisionPlus is ideally suited for baby boomers and older generation drivers.

Proper headlamp maintenance ranks high on the list of “under performed” vehicle services. In spite of the fact that bulb performance degrades with age, most drivers replace their bulbs only when they fail.

Philips VisionPlus is street legal and DOT compliant and available as an upgrade/replacement for 90% of all cars, vans, SUVs and light trucks on the road today. VisionPlus comes in six popular types: 9003 (HB2), 9004 (HB1), 9005 (HB3), 9006 (HB4), 9007 (HB5), and H7. Philips recommends that headlamp bulbs be replaced in pairs and offers the VisionPlus bulb in a two (2)-bulb package. A (2)-bulb package retail for approximately $19.95.
