When it absolutely, positively, has to work!

There are certain things that work flawlessly in an RV, but one in particular has absolutely, positively, got to do its job each and every time it is activated. That is the gas ignition switch and temperature controls that will be found in several products connected to the propane gas system. Out of sight, out of mind, it simply does its job flawlessly every time the propane powered device or heating system is called into action. In fact, the gas ignition and temperature control systems work so well, that most consumers have no idea what company is behind such an incredible record of quality engineering and manufacturing perfection that contributes to a successful RV experience. Read how a great American manufacturer makes it all work, and does it with consistency and quality built in.

Oregon: Open for Business

While there is no doubt that Indiana, and specifically the Elkhart-Goshen area, might be the RV capital of the country, there is nothing wrong with being in second place … just ask Avis! Like the second most popular car rental company, Oregon has quietly established their own RV hub that is bringing new attention to the area as the RV industry continues to grow and companies look to expand beyond their traditional roots. Anchored by such industry giants as Monaco Coach, Country Coach, and Marathon, the area around these RV mainstays is quickly attracting new companies with an emphasis on suppliers who want to be located in close proximity to the manufacturing plants. It’s real here!

Editorial

Q _ A _ I _ Y

It’s real easy to add the U, L, and T to the blank spaces in the title and spell the word QUALITY. But it is not that easy in real life to achieve consistent quality, and continue to improve quality as the RV industry recognizes that the single most important aspect of the RV lifestyle, that will dictate the future of the entire industry, is one word, QUALITY. There may be no other single word in the English language that is more important to our industry. With quality, comes a price. You can not be the lowest price provider and still deliver the type of quality that is desired by the consumer, and required for continued success in the RV industry. Let’s start filling in the blanks and doing it right.

Salesmanship

Hire Your Own Assistant

Are you a good sales person? I mean, are you a really good sales person? We spoke about Good to Great companies last month, and what it took to go from being good at something, to being great at it. The same principles can apply to people. There are many good people. There are many good sales people. But there are only a few great sales people in most companies, or even industries.
