Kallfelz and Hamann have entered phase two of their local success story with the release of the second-generation eGO and the response has been fantastic in several different market segments. One of the most popular uses of the vehicle has been in planned and gated communities that offer many amenities and all contained in the residential area. Families buy multiple units for the transportation needs of family members.

The vehicles provide light weight, low impact transportation and are available with a host of accessories that make riding them fun and create an exhilarating experience.

The eGO Cycle incorporates a striking design that is unintimidating to the first time rider. All of the sophisticated technology is hidden by the creative design and is actually quite simple to operate.

The design won an award at the Success by Design 2003 conference sponsored by the Center for Design and Business which is a joint venture between Bryant College and the world famous Rhode Island School of Design.

With no oil, no lube and no chains, the vehicle quietly moves along the street and transports the rider at speeds up to 23 mile per hour with a range of approximately 25 miles. It is obviously designed to replace all those short trips in the family car and creates a personal transportation vehicle that will actually be used by the owners.

Kallfelz said, "The eGO Cycle is truly viable high-quality personal transportation. It represents a significant achievement in the electric vehicle industry by being the first and only product to solve the functionality concessions consumers have experienced with other electric vehicles. The eGO Cycle is a new transportation choice that is practical, yet takes you on an adventure even when you are just running errands – it makes the mundane exhilarating."

The company has recently launched a campaign to penetrate the RV and campground industry. Jim Hamann said, "We actually have quite a few RVers who have purchased the cycles through our web site (www.egovehicles.com). We’ve had so much activity from RVers that we have added a special "Happy Camper" discounted RV package. The Happy Camper special includes two eGO Cycles with rear baskets, a cargo trailer (one), two rain covers, two locks and an eGO carrier which carries two eGO's for the RV. The package saves the customers about $250 and completely outfits them with two fun and easy to ride electric cycles and all the extras they’ll ever need.
