Transportation Transformation

If I told you this was an article about an electric scooter, you might not get real excited. After all, the RV industry has seen many scooter wannabes’ and bicycles on steroids. Most of which never lived up to their expectations and have actually turned many dealers and campgrounds away from any desire to get involved with two wheel vehicles with too many headaches.

Could the RV industry finally have a real contender to transform the way RVers transport themselves around RV resorts, campgrounds and the local neighborhood?

Many RVers don’t really like towing a vehicle behind their motorhome. It is a practice long endured because they need basic transportation once they have arrived at their destination. If they really dislike the idea of a car behind a motorhome, they may actually opt for a pick-up truck and fifth wheel or a car/trailer combination that may be more to their liking.

A small Rhode Island company may have finally provided the long awaited solution for a transportation transformation in the RV and campground industry.

eGO Vehicles, Inc. based in Providence, RI, is a leading innovator of electric vehicles designed for convenient, safe and fun personal transportation. Led by two enthusiastic entrepreneurs who have fallen in love with their eGO Cycle™ and have become evangelists for changing the way people look at their personal transportation requirements.

Fueled by statistics from the U.S. Department of Transportation that show the average automobile trip to be only 7.1 miles, and with 60% of those trips being less than five miles, Andrew Kallfelz, president & CEO, and James Hamann, VP Sales & Marketing, thought they had a better idea.
