Lifestyle benefits showcased in Louisville

Ameri-Camp
Introduced its LITE line of lightweight travel trailers and fifth-wheels ranging in size from 19 to 30 feet. Pete Recchio continues to stress quality and dealer support, winning awards and signing new dealers Ameri-Camp is one of the five fastest growing travel trailer and fifth wheel manufacturers based on market share growth, according to Statistical Surveys. Parts orders are shipped correctly the first time, 98% of the time and shipped within 72 hours, 93% of the time. For 91% of their dealers, they are the No. 1 gross margin percentage product on the lot..

Jumping Jack
Jumping Jack Jump-Up Trailers displayed a rugged utility trailer/tent camper that is one of the most versatile units seen at the show. The tent slides easily in and out of the trailer bed when stored or not in use and the trailer allows you to bring your toys along on the adventure. The company refers to the unit as the ultimate camping utility trailer, and we agree.

Travel Supreme
Luxury fifth-wheel, below left, with spacious interior and household appointments. Select 45’ flagship luxury motorhome featuring side swing storage doors, 43” plasma TV, marble shower and solid granite counter tops. The bathroom also features double sinks in a luxurious setting.

Livin’ Lite
Livin’ Lite is gaining traction on their Quicksilver line of affordable and “wood-free” folding camping trailers. From a hotel lobby last year to the show floor in 2004, the company offers an excellent selection of unique trailers that are sure to draw new prospects to a dealers lot. This year they introduced the Quicksilver Model 1000, designed to attract young families to RVing. It weighs only 1000 pounds and allows consumers to tow it with a small car or minivan. The camper can sleep 6 and offers 6’ 4” clearance on the interior. The units feature ultra-light aerospace technology with all aluminum frame, floor, bed bases, walls and cabinetry … no wood to be found! Units are also available in a variety of eye-popping colors sure to get noticed going down the highway or under the trees in the campground.

ClearVue RV
Buried in the back of the hall we found ClearVue RV of Elkhart. The company is making destination campers and park model trailers, the next generation of resort living. Quality craftsmanship and homelike amenities and accessories will make these units popular with dealers looking to add this type of product to their mix of RV offerings.

Weekend Warrior

This company, who also picked up National RV’s trailer lineup during the year, introduced the 2005 Wide Body SLC fifth-wheel. The unit offers a slide-out bedroom, wide body chassis with cross-bracing, cathedral ceiling, large 8 cubic foot refrigerator and a classic bathroom with glass enclosed shower. Three axles offer a better ride and more carrying capacity for the active RVer.

Flagstaff by Forest River
The popular Flagstaff folding camping trailers have one of the highest sidewalls in the business, allowing for a more residential feel to the interior, with all the features normally found in full-size hard wall trailers.

Newmar
The talk of the show was the concept London Aire showcased by Newmar as the centerpiece of their display. From the opening bell to the announcement noting the closing of this year’s show, there were long lines outside the motorcoach that had heads turning and people talking. This was a masterpiece of form, fit and function and everyone wanted to know when they would be seeing it in production. This coach will make some people think twice about buying a Prevost bus from a custom converter. Equipped with the latest technology and creature comforts one could only marvel at what the management and engineers presented to the industry and nothing on the show floor garnered more attention than this piece of art. No production date or pricing was provided by the company, but judging from the reception at the show, we don’t think it will be long before you see this beauty rolling down the streets of Nappanee heading for a satisfied RVer in your neighborhood.

Newmar also introduced the new Cyrpess fifth wheel product line. The product utilizes NewMar’s aluminum-framed sidewalls and roof construction and offers an insulated and enclosed underbelly with floor-duct heating, a BriteTEK roof with walkable roof decking and a radius aluminum roof wrap. Interior features include hardwood raised panel, cathedral arched overhead cabinet doors and a 27” television with full surround sound and remote.
