Draw-Tite Introduces Removable Ball Gooseneck Hitch System

Goose Neck Hitch

Draw-Tite has added a removable ball gooseneck hitch system to its line of products. The removable ball allows unrestricted use of the pickup truck bed for hauling cargo when not used for towing.

The system accommodates all standard vehicle suspensions. Rail kits come in four models and are rated to match manufacturers' vehicle weight ratings. Except for the 1997 Ford #6340, custom-fit rail kits use all existing holes. Some holes may need to be enlarged.

No welding is required, and there is no need to loosen or remove the pickup bed. Rear wheels do not have to be removed, if the vehicle is lifted on a hoist by the frame. No alteration is required of original equipment exhaust systems.

The removable ball gooseneck hitch is lockable to prevent ball theft and features a forged, heat-treated zinc ball and stainless steel springs, spring loaded chrome sliding pin to assure positive lock, and a magnetic cover to protect the ball hole and activation lever from dirt and the elements.

In-truck platforms and rail kits are sold separately. In-truck platforms may be used on any vehicle which provides adequate structure to secure the platform. In-truck platforms are rated for 30,000 lbs. gross trailer weight and 7,500 lbs. vertical load (tongue weight) and tested to V.E.S.C. - 19 specs for 30,000 lbs. GVWR.

Autolok 2000 is Designed to Protect Vehicle and Air Bag from Theft

Autolok 2000 is an adjustable, heavy-duty steel security device that virtually immobilizes a steering wheel as well as protects an air bag against attack or theft. Unlike competitive products it offers double anti-theft vehicle protection in one step. First, its round, highly visible bright-yellow "body" slides up and over a vehicle's steering wheel and then deadbolt locks securely around the wheel's spoke. Unlike bar devices, it cannot be removed when the steering wheel is cut, protecting the driver side air bag.

Second, the product's telescopic steel-reinforced security arm extends to obstruct steering wheel rotation. A motorist uses a key to open the lock and then can easily telescope the arm into the unit for storage. Both patented features make it virtually impossible for someone to remove the entire apparatus even with a hacksaw, crowbar, or a drill.

The Autolok 2000's 'disk-detainer' lock has 12 layers of disks and 10 million key combinations. The product can accommodate all cars, light trucks and vans with steering wheels from 13-3/4" to 15-3/4".
