Tom Dewalt, Vice President of Dewalt’s RV in
Easton, Pennsylvania, recently published his 8th
annual RV Guide. The full-color, 88-page publication
is designed to educate consumers about
the RV purchasing process and how to avoid
common errors made by RV buyers. More than
that, the guide’s true objective is to promote
RVing, and reflects the editor’s passion for the
industry.
The RV Guide is a complete resource for anyone
who currently owns an RV or is considering
purchasing one. The guide dedicates more than
25 pages to an RV buyers guide. This section
walks the consumer through the entire buying
process by helping to determine the appropriate
RV model based on lifestyle and budget, and
includes simple worksheets to establish what a
consumer can afford, and determine the right
financing alternative.

Further in the guide, Dewalt includes countless
shopping tips and advice on how to avoid
unscrupulous selling practices. “Because this
publication is about avoiding pitfalls, a focus on
negative issues is essential. I believe knowing
about potential trouble makes it easier to avoid,”
states Dewalt. Service tips and preventative
maintenance instruction round out the buying
advice.
In addition to the buying guide and shopping
tips, the 2003-2004 RV Guide includes a plethora
of information about RVing and the RVing
lifestyle. From where to attend RV driving school
to RV safety education, this is a comprehensive
guide for the RV enthusiast.
A family business, Dewalt’s was founded by
Tom’s parents, Wayne and Sally Dewalt in 1966
and has been a Coachmen dealer since 1967.
They have more than 36 years tenure as a
Coachmen dealer -- an accomplishment only one
other dealership enjoys -- and Dewalt’s offers the
largest selection of Coachmen RVs in the region.
Dewalt’s is more than a place to buy an RV;
it is a total RV center offering seminars every
Wednesday evening, year-round. At “Dewalt’s
University” one can learn about ‘winterizing and
storing your RV’, ‘hitching & towing systems’ and
a variety of other useful topics. Dewalt’s philosophy
has always been to enrich the lives of their
customers through the fun, fellowship, and freedom
of RV ownership.
Tom Dewalt, responsible for writing and editing
nearly 90% of the 2003-2004 RV Guide, was
raised on RVing and wants to share his passion
by educating others. Dewalt asserts “we may not
have the right RV for you, but we still want you
to become a happy RV owner. We would rather
help you buy the right RV somewhere else than
sell you the wrong RV.”
The free 2003-2004 RV Guide is available
