Cole Hersee: A privately held business
built on reliable and durable products

South Boston is home to countless Irish-American families who settled here when they first came to America. It is also the hotbed of Beantown politics and their famous St. Patrick’s Day breakfast roast of anybody and everybody who wants to play in the local or national arena. Tradition is steep in South Boston and if you have any desire to hold public office, you had better show up down there for the parade and breakfast, or just don’t bother running.

Another great tradition on Old Colony Avenue in South Boston is the Cole Hersee Company. This is a third generation family business that to this day follows the sound principles established when they first founded the company: develop new and innovative products and manufacture only the finest, solidly reliable products. This quiet company is ready to increase their business in the RV industry and may have the products you are looking for.

Salesmanship
Building on Success

Keeping employees, especially sales people, motivated is a constant challenge for management in any business, and it holds true for the RV industry also. Developing and retaining qualified professional sales people is the most important task for building and growing a successful business. As with any good idea, there is usually a price attached to it, and quite often the numbers following the dollar sign get more attention than the benefit that would be derived from the investment. Find out how Tony Alessandra can help your dealership build on your current success and plan for increased growth and opportunity in the future. Alessandra will address the attendees of the upcoming RVDA Convention/Expo in Las Vegas … don’t miss it.

Editorial
The Power of One

At the recent Monaco Coach dealer meeting Mike Snell, Vice President Sales and Marketing, and Kay Toolson, Chairman and CEO, once again raised the issue of dealers focusing on one brand. Obviously, they would like that brand to be Monaco, but the more important issue is whether or not the RV industry is ready for such a dramatic philosophical change in how RV’s are sold in this country. This is not an RV issue as much as it is a sales, marketing, support and service issue. Independent business owners often try to do what they think everyone else is doing and don’t spend enough time focusing on what is best for their business. Are you ready to become a single brand dealership?
