Spotlighting Two Onan Products

Equinox™ Inverter/Charger

RVers can now turn to the most trusted name in generators for all their power needs. Long known for providing RVers with quiet, convenient and reliable power, Onan will introduce Equinox™, its first ever inverter/charger, in August 2003. The modified-sine Equinox provides better product performance at higher ambient temperatures and automatically charges batteries to the proper levels, eliminating the risk of overcharging or draining. Equinox is fully compatible with other onboard Onan products like the company’s renowned generators.

"We know RVs inside and out and want to provide our customers the choice of having an Onan inverter/charger in addition to the Onan generator that currently powers their coach," says Joyce Drinnin, Onan’s Manager of RV Marketing Consumer Business. "With the introduction of Equinox, Onan can now meet all the power and service needs of the RVer."

Easy to install and operate, Equinox is available in four sizes (1500- to 3000-watt) and can accommodate a variety of power requirements. Each model has the capability to diagnose over-temperature, auto overload, short-circuit and low voltage with single input/dual output configurations. Additional features include a customer friendly remote panel with a navigable text display and status-at-a-glance indicators.

Onan backs Equinox with an industry-leading 36-month warranty. Equinox is also supported by Onan’s established nationwide service network.

Unplug and Still Play with Camp Power™

Not having a hookup doesn’t have to be a hang-up with Camp Power™ by Onan. Manufactured exclusively for installation in towable RVs, Camp Power allows you to unplug and still be able to play.

Perfect for travel trailers, truck campers and folding camper trailers, Camp Power can be used to run most RV electrical devices including an air conditioner, lights, microwave oven, and carry-on items like hair dryers, fans and TVs. Camp Power can also be used to charge batteries.

"Without power, the conveniences that make RVing so great can be lost," says Karen Zellner, Onan’s marketing manager for Camp Power. "Installed generators were never an option for smaller, towable RVs. Camp Power changes that. Campers don’t have to worry about finding a hookup to run their microwave or coffee maker allowing them to more fully enjoy the RV experience."

Lightweight and compact, Camp Power generators are small enough to fit underneath a bench or inside a cabinet. An insulated shell muffles any generator noise and there aren’t the gasoline fumes usually associated with portable generators. Solid-state ignition and a sealed remote connector enable easy starting of Camp Power from inside the trailer.

Camp Power by Onan offers two fuel options – the 2500-watt LP or 2800 gasoline models. Additional options and accessories include a 12 V battery, exhaust resonator, remote start/stop switch, under floor mounting kit and a USDA Forest Service approved spark arrester muffler kit.

Both Camp Power by Onan models are supported by a three-year limited warranty. Camp Power is also backed by Onan’s established nationwide service network. For more information on the Equinox or Camp Power by Onan or to locate a dealer , visit www.funroads.com or call 1-800-888-ONAN
