Four Winds International Introduces
New
Class C Motorhome On Kodiak Chassis
Four Winds International has introduced a new generation of
Class C motorhome. The new Model 34R is built on the C5500
Kodiak chassis, and is available with a standard 300-HP Vortec
engine or optional 300-HP Duramax diesel engine with Allison 1000
series transmission.
This model is
available in all three
Class C brands—
Chateau, Dutchmen
and Four Winds. “We
have combined the
characteristics, elegance
and appointments
of a Class A
motorhome into a new style of Class C motorhome,” said Scott
Jacobson, National Sales Manager, Four Winds International. “It is
designed to appeal to those looking for a Class C motorhome with
added power and reliability. Plus, it is our first Class C motorhome
that features a full 84" interior ceiling height.”
This double slide model with flush floor slide-outs dramatically
increases the living area and bedroom. Standard HWH semi-automatic,
push-button hydraulic leveling jacks and slideouts offer added
convenience.
Popular standard features include a large double door refrigerator,
20" flat screen television in the bedroom, deluxe AM/FM radio with
compact disc player, ample storage inside and out, and automatic
electric entrance step. A distinctive graphics/paint exterior package is
available on Model 34R. There are three attractive interior décor
packages available, with a choice of standard Honey Oak cabinetry, or
Maple and Cherry cabinetry options (depending on brand).
Optional features include fabric or Luxor Leather hide-a-bed sofa,
entertainment center with 27" flat screen color television and slide-out
bunk, and fabric or Luxor Leather recliner. Plus, an optional convenience
package includes a set of four two-way radios, rechargeable
hand-held vacuum cleaner, rechargeable flashlight, valve stem extenders
and a recharging unit.
An exclusive full two-year, 24,000-mile limited bumper-to-bumper
warranty is standard on all Four Winds International Class C
motorhomes.
Four Winds International is a division of Thor Industries, Inc., the
largest manufacturer of recreational vehicles. Four Winds

Starcraft's 2005 Aruba towables are dream catchers for today's
camping families. One new fifth wheel and three new travel trailers
bring the line to a total of 12 comfortable floorplans – all with at least
one slideout. The 25RS travel
trailer (pictured) has two
slideouts: a rear queen bed
and side dinette. Sleeping
capacity ranges from 6-11
people depending on the
floorplan. Interior and exterior
storage (including passthrough
compartments) is
generous.
Inside, white cabinetry
has mirrored inserts in overhead
doors. Neutral fabrics in
desert beige or nature paprika
complete the contemporary
style. Easy-care wood
grain vinyl is standard in high
traffic areas; stain-resistant
sculpted carpeting is found in
bedrooms and living/dining
rooms (depending on the
model). Travel trailers feature
mini blinds; fifth wheels have
day/night shades.
Accommodations include a
3-burner black (travel trailers)
or stainless steel (fifth wheels)
designer range with large oven
and high output burner and a
stainless steel sink. Baths
feature a mirrored medicine
cabinet, large lavatory and an
ABS tub surround with shower.
Fifth wheels have a porcelain
foot flush toilet. Also
included are a powerful floor ducted furnace with electric
ignition, an all-new Sirius
satellite radio system, and a deluxe mattress with quilted bedspread, pillow shams and a coordinating
headboard. Additional amenities depend on the floorplan and model.
Long term durability comes from Aruba's rugged welded aluminum-framed laminated sidewalls,
trussed roof rafters with all-weather roofing and a smoother than ever Filon® exterior. A heated and
enclosed underbelly extends the camping season into colder weather. Aruba towables are backed by
Starcraft's exclusive warranty. A long option list meets individual needs and tastes.

Two Ohio-based leaders in motor coach modification have partnered for the first time to create a
unique new motorhome. Jackson Center-based Airstream, builders of distinctive silver bullet-shaped
motorhomes since 1936, tapped Grove City-based Creative Mobile Interiors to design and build a prototype
interior for their new A37 motorhome. The 37-ft. vehicle made its debut at the recent Recreation
Vehicle Industry Association Show at the Kentucky Fair and Expo Center.
With a modern décor featuring plenty of clean lines and elegant finishes, the A37 is designed to
appeal to sophisticated motorhome enthusiasts. Gone are the floral print fabrics, oak cabinets and traditional
décor of most RVs on the market. Instead, the A37 offers clean lines, a restrained color scheme
and contemporary finishes like leather, ultrasuede and highly polished
Corian surfaces.
“The interior of this vehicle represents a radical departure, not just
among Airstream’s other products, but from what the rest of the RV
industry is doing,” said Bob Wheeler, Airstream’s VP of product development
and engineering. “We expect the unit to appeal to customers who
are more focused on style and design.”
From a systems standpoint, the all-electric technology of the A37 is
also unusual. The vehicle features a 12-kilowatt generator, a diesel filtered
hot water system, an electric cooktop, residential-size refrigerator,
washer/dryer, dishwasher and four 110-amp hour gel cell batteries.
For extra living space, the unit has one slideout in the front lounge
and two in the rear stateroom. One of the vehicle’s most striking features
is an oversize circular mirror that dominates the rear bedroom.
The mirror is set into the coach’s back wall of pearwood veneer and is
accented with stainless steel trim for visual impact. Additional closet
space is hidden beside the mirror.
In both design and systems the A37 is built to compare to custom
conversion motorhomes that sell for between $500,000 to $1.2 million.
Yet the A37 has a MSRP of $310,000.
So far, reaction to the vehicle has generated strong opinions.
“People who like it really like it a lot, but it’s a big shift for those who
prefer the traditional décor,” said Wheeler. “We don’t expect it to be for
everyone. We think this stakes out territory where no one else is a contender.”
Airstream has made the CMI-designed interior available on
their 39-ft. motorhome as well.
CMI was founded in 1999 and is headquartered in two plants totaling
14,000 square feet in Grove City, Ohio. The company specializes in
converting motor coaches, vans, trailers and mini-coaches into luxury,
commercial and specialty vehicles outfitted with custom top-of-the-line
amenities and electronics. CMI can be reached at (614) 539-4600, or at
www.creativemobileinteriors.com.
Airstream was founded in 1936 and is a subsidiary of Thor Industries
Inc. Airstream manufactures travel trailers, touring coaches and
motorhomes. More information on Airstream is available at
